The Belt Filter Press works on the principle of mechanical pressure and gravity drainage. Sludge is first mixed with a polymer flocculant to form large flocs. It then enters the Gravity Drainage Zone, where most of the free water is removed. Next, it moves to the Wedge Zone for initial compression, and finally through the High-Pressure Roller Zone.
