For highly abrasive ores like quartz, gold tailings, and uranium ore dust found in Namibia, we design systems with a conservative air-to-cloth ratio (filtration velocity) of 0.8 to 1.1 m/min. Keeping the velocity low prevents dust from embedding deep into the media, reduces mechanical wear, and extends bag lifecycle.
We use premium filter media tailored to the temperature profile of each system. While standard polyester operates up to 120°C, we supply Nomex (Aramid) or PPS for temperatures up to 190°C, and pure PTFE needle felt with PTFE membrane linings for acidic chemical or smelting gas streams running up to 260°C.
